Direct Support Specialist work directly with vulnerable adults that have physical and mental illnesses. Direct Support Specialist must ensure the safety and well-being of the clients at all times. Their communication skills, interpersonal, and professional relationships should reflect the mission and vision of our company.
Direct Support Specialist will work with clients and coworkers on daily living skills, administering medications, transporting clients, communication, documentation, health and safety, and continued development.
Working conditions:
-Works in a variety of settings inside and outside the home and throughout the community.
-Sits, stands, walks, uses stairs, bends, lifts, and transfers or moves individuals in emergency situations.

-Ability to make independent decisions.
-Willingness to take initiative and adapt to circumstances.

-Ability to follow daily routines while planning creative alternatives.
